Outreach
FIRST isn’t just about robotics
FIRST Lego League
We visit our FIRST Lego League team at John Jay Middle School weekly. We offer guidance to them and teach them our values as a team. Something we stress to them is that things don’t work the first time. You have to go through the engineering-design process with perseverance in order to be successful.
Katonah Elementary School
We love to show young scientist our robots. Pictured here, we went to one of our local elementary schools (Katonah Elementary School) and visited their science fair. They loved to see our robot and were intrigued by the ideas that FIRST endorses such as gracious professionalism.
Meadow Pond
Similar to Katonah, we also visited Meadow Pond Elementary School. The kids were just as enthusiastic and are going to be the next generation spreading the FIRST values
Outreach To FIRST Teams
Starting off, we had no idea about how connected the first community. But through reaching out to teams like FTC team 11212 The Clueless (2024 FTC World Champions) and FRC team 2910 Jack In The Bot, we learned that the first community loves bringing each other up and wants to help in as many ways as possible.
