Our second robot design proved far more reliable and effective than our first. It features a streamlined transfer system with an "Active Intake" mechanism, which uses surgical tubing attached to a rotating axle to effortlessly "slurp" samples into the bot. Once inside, the sample retracts into the robot, where a precision grabber secures it with accuracy. From there, the grabber extends upward on vertical slides, allowing for smooth and controlled placement into the high basket. This refined design significantly improved our consistency, speed, and overall performance on the field.
